We hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy Sakhan’s company while she’s holding down the fort in our farm store. She is also an integral part of our field team; doing everything related to keeping our plants alive (including being a snake whisperer🐍). From weeding to transplanting, Sakhan is out there doing it all.
Her favorite vegetable that we grow is our Bok Choi – make sure you try it next season!
Sakhan got into farming because she wanted to be closer to nature and ground herself with the seasons. She was drawn to Stout Oak because, in her opinion, our sustainable practices and high quality standards are the best in the business.
When she’s not farming in her favorite overalls, you will likely find Sakhan swimming somewhere or taking a nap in the sun on her big blanket. Her favorite task on the farm is harvesting our potato crop so that she can make her famous shepherd’s pie as the weather cools down!
