1 CSA : 1 Cookbook
Introducing Stout Oak Farm’s own take on a “1 Book : 1 Community” read! We’ve chosen Good Things by Samin Nosrat as our 1 CSA : 1 Cookbook selection and we’ll be using it together all season long! Join us for a fun project as we all cook and learn more delicious ways to love our vegetables, level up our cooking skills, and deepen our community connection through shared cooking adventures. We’re going to use this book as a great reference throughout the year.

We chose Good Things by Samin Nosrat, author of Salt Fat Acid Heat, because it’s a new cookbook, full of flexible ideas for making lots of great meals. Samin Nosrat is known for breaking down cooking into essentials that bring delicious results. Good Things is her new cookbook, published in September 2025, and has many resourceful sections that are just the right thing for cooking and enjoying your CSA Share. It’s a great book for both experienced and novice cooks!

We offer CSA Shares from Spring through Fall. Pick ups are on Tuesday afternoons for Spring and Fall CSA Shares; Summer CSA Shares have specific pick up options available for each share type.

Some details!
❇️ Our CSA shares may occasionally include an item grown by one of our Farmer Friends. While this is something we have done with our Fall Shares before, we are introducing this idea for Summer CSA Shares, and anticipate this will only be occasional. We partner with nearby Farmer Friends to bring you a greater diversity of organic vegetables than we can grow ourselves, and these partnerships also help in challenging growing seasons. We are having more extreme weather patterns each year, and relying on our greater farm community will help us all.
❇️ Pick Up Windows are important to the farm. We need our CSA members to pick up shares during specific hours so we can manage our labor and our cold storage spaces efficiently. If a regular weekly pick up window doesn’t fit into your weekly routine, please consider one of the more flexible membership options we offer through our Farm Store Credit program.
