After months of seeding and caring for thousands of baby plants in the greenhouse and outdoors in their trays, the seedlings are finally finding their way into the ground!
MANY plants have found their way into the gardens of our Plant Sale customers! The sale during Memorial weekend was such a success; we were so thrilled to see so many people coming by to get the starts for their own organic vegetable gardens!!
Many of our tomato seedlings are settling in well in the high tunnels!
And hundreds and hundreds of seedlings have been planted all over the farm in the fields- lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, beets, onions, scallions, tomatoes, sprouting broccoli, bok choi, just to name a few.
And then there are all the seeds that get sown directly into the ground, like carrots, baby kale, radishes and turnips.
Despite the wet spring, there is a lot of food already coming from those plants and we are already busy with harvesting a lot of it. We just harvested for the second week of our Fresh Green Box and this week we will be harvesting for the first week of our CSA shares! It’s not too late to join either CSA option. You can also find our produce at the Farm Store and The Exeter Farmer’s Market.
We look forward to sharing the harvest with you!
