Stout Oak Farm is known for our delicious, high quality organic vegetables harvested and washed by hand, grown at our farm in Brentwood, NH. We work with Farmer Friends to bring you a greater diversity of organic vegetables than we can grow ourselves, and these partnerships also help in challenging growing seasons. Included in every CSA Share is our top rated email newsletter including weekly recipes and coaching from your farmers, so you can enjoy incredible fresh easy meals.

What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a small-scale farming model creating direct connection between you and our farm.

CSA members make a commitment to the farm by purchasing a “share” of the harvest in advance of the growing season. This upfront commitment from you provides our farm with the capital we need early in the year – to buy seeds and supplies, and get our fields planted in the spring.  In return, members receive a  “share” of the farm’s harvest — fresh, in-season, high quality, organic vegetables grown and harvested right here on our farm.

Love Your Veggies and Eat Like Your Farmers

Enjoy the vegetables in your CSA Share with resources from your farmers.

For us, CSA is about community. Our CSA members are the individuals we picture in our minds when we’re planning our crops, seeding trays, worrying about wind and water, kneeling to harvest lettuce, pulling up sweet turnips, hoeing in all the weather. We love growing your food.

We also love this work and the food we grow. We grow the vegetables we do because these are the vegetables we love to fill our own plates with. We grow the varieties we do because we think they taste the best and these are the vegetables we love to eat. We know we feel our best when we eat tons of leafy greens and so we grow tons of leafy greens that are really really tasty, too.

We’re excited to share our veggie love and knowledge with our CSA Community.

One of the primary ways we do this is through our CSA email newsletter. This is the email our CSA members get every week – chock full of everything going on on the farm, what we’re eating, information on the vegetables in your share this week, how to store and cook them, photos, recipe links, and more. Here’s a sampling for you of our weekly CSA emails from 2023, Week 7, early July and Week 16, September. Please take a peek and read on for more about our CSA shares.

Pick Up Your Share At Our Farm in Brentwood

Our Farm is located at 83 Middle Road in Brentwood, NH. We’re right in the middle of Exeter, Kingston, Newfields, Fremont, and Epping.  We’re next door neighbors with the terrific Sea Star Stables.

Pick Up Windows are important to the farm. We need our CSA members to pick up shares during specific hours so we can manage our labor and our cold storage spaces efficiently. If a regular weekly pick up window doesn’t fit into your weekly routine, please consider one of our more flexible membership options such as our Farm Store Credit program.

Spring Microgreens Shares  and Spring Greens Boxes can be picked up Tuesdays 2:00 – 6:00pm.

Vegetable Share and Greens Box Members can choose from two pickup option times when you sign up for your share. We have a limited number of shares available for each of these pickup times: Tuesdays, 2:00 – 6:00pm or Saturdays, 9:00am – 12:00.

Vegetable Mini Share pickup will be Thursdays Tuesdays 2:00 – 6:00pm.

Farm Store Credit Members may shop for their share in-person at our Farm Store all the hours we are open, as well as by placing orders via our Online Store.

Our Farm Store will be open during your CSA Pickup (once it opens for the season in late May). We offer a selection of local foods we don’t grow on our farm to complement your CSA share vegetables.  We have local eggs, meats, cheeses, tofu, tempeh, beans, bread, ice cream, and more. Many Weekly Share Members also purchase a Farm Store Membership for quick and easy shopping in the Farm Store.
